Tezzus Should Hop On Chill/Melodic Beats More

If you’re tapped into Tezzus, you know the lane he lives in. Rage, harder trap, aggression on top of aggression. That’s the sound that built his name and it’s clearly where he’s most comfortable. But every so often he slows it down for something chill and melodic, and it hits different every time.

It’s a small part of his catalog, but it might be the most interesting part.

Warrior

This is Tezzus actually stretching out. Off the rage, the pocket opens up and the songwriting takes over. It’s the kind of record that makes the case for him doing this more often on its own.

Outro

Same idea, different mood. When he’s not rushing the beat, the melodic side of his voice gets room to work. This is one of the clearest examples of it.

High Preacher

Tezzus has three lines on this one. Three. And it’s still one of his best. Says a lot that he can do more with less over a beat like that.

Bvlgari

Another one that leans into the chill, melodic pocket instead of the rage. Add it to the pile of evidence.

The Case

The rage stuff will always be his bread and butter. That’s not changing and it shouldn’t. But the melodic side feels like a lane he hasn’t fully tapped into yet, and every time he touches it, it works.
