Nine Vicious has been one of the most compelling names moving through the underground for a minute now. The Athens, Georgia rapper born Treyvion Deronta Echols has already dropped two studio albums Tumblr Music and For Nothing in 2025, building a dedicated fanbase through relentless output and a sound that pulls heavy from Young Thug’s DNA. Tomorrow, April 3rd, he drops his third studio album Emotions and this one signals a clear evolution.
For the first time in his discography, Nine Vicious has a feature. And the choice says a lot. Kacy Hill.

If you know, you know. Kacy Hill was featured on Travis Scott’s “90210” and Kid Cudi’s “Releaser” two records that are memorable, eurphoric, and ambient. She’s a former GOOD Music signee with songwriting credits alongside Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem, and her voice carries a weight that very few artists can bring to a record. She doesn’t just feature she transforms the texture of whatever she’s on.
As a producer, that’s what jumps out to me most about this collab. Nine Vicious is making his first feature memorable. He’s making a deliberate sonic choice. Kacy Hill’s ethereal, atmospheric quality pushes Emotions into a different register deeper, more layered, more intentional. That’s an artist thinking about sound and not just features
Early previews had people expecting a solo project front to back, so the Kacy Hill reveal landed differently. Nobody called it. And that’s exactly what makes it interesting.
Nine Vicious is expanding his palette. The underground is growing up, and he’s growing with it.
Emotions drops April 3rd. Don’t miss the wave.
